German EC1plus environmental certification
The EC1 standard is an authoritative certification in the European building materials industry for residential health. Based on the EMICODE environmental label standard and TVOC concentration, the environmental protection rating is divided into three levels from highest to lowest: EC1plus, EC1, and EC2. EC1plus is the highest certification level, with product volatile organic compound (VOC) concentrations as low as 60 μg/m³. Even infants and young children can be safely entrusted to it.
Scope of Certification
Liquid products (waterproof coatings, moisture-proof interface treatment agents, etc.), inorganic building materials (tile adhesives, grouts, etc.), ready-to-use building materials (self-adhesive underlayments, self-adhesive tapes, etc.), paste-like materials (organic materials as the primary adhesive), sealants, and other building materials.
